Our nutriton programs are not a restrictive diet, but a lifelong, realistic approach to nutrition. You will learn how to effectively incorporate all the foods you enjoy while still making continual progress towards your health and fitness goals.

Nutrition isn’t just about eating. It’s about learning to live.

At Pursuit, we believe that nutrition is as important to your health and well-being as your exercise program. The food that you put into your body has a profound impact on the way you look and feel. When you eat the right food in the right amount and at the right time, you will build muscle and lose fat much more efficiently.

Just like our fitness programs, we believe that eating right should become a part of your long-term health strategy. That’s why we don’t offer a “diet.” Instead, we want to help you learn how to eat well with a program that fits in with your lifestyle.

Our 5-week introductory program is called Fitness Foundations. Members who want 1-to-1 coaching are invited to participate in Foundations 4 Life, an ongoing nutrition program to help you stay on track in the long run and give you personal guidance.

The 5-Week Fit Foundation Nutrition Program

Three times per year, we come together to educate, grow, and launch a healthier lifestyle for you! Together, our food coach and trainers will help get your health into alignment to gain education, confidence, mobility, strength, and proper eating habits to develop a healthy lifestyle for you. This is not a fad diet, it is an individualized plan to help jump start your new healthy lifestyle. You will gain new insight and perspective on nutrition and training, and as a byproduct, will lose weight and inches. For nearly two years now, we have helped hundreds of people, just like you, find their path to health.


The 5-Week Fit Foundation Program is for you if…
  • you are motivated to improve your quality of life in the long run
  • you want a  step-by-step program that will help you make permanent, positive changes to the way you view food and how you eat
  • you enjoy being motivated by a group of people who share the same goals

As the food coach here at Pursuit Fitness, my whole goal of the F4L program is to prepare you to be confident in any situation, any environment, any time, to be able to find a way to properly fuel yourself without feeling restricted. One of the best examples of an issue I hear about is someone going out to eat and struggling with what to order. Having two options – the steak and mashed potatoes or the grilled chicken salad, the client is torn on what to choose. If the steak and potatoes is chosen, then most of the meal is eaten in gluttony and shame, but if the grilled chicken salad is chosen, most of the meal is consumed with exclusion and yearning for the steak. This leads to a viscous cycle of wanting to eat healthy but not enjoying the foods you desire. 
My goal is to get you to the point of being content in that situation, no matter what your choice of food is. To be able to enjoy the foods you want, yet still have a proper balance of what you need to achieve and maintain your health journey. The Foundations 4 Life Nutrition Program

The Foundations 4 Life program is an extensive, 1-on-1 program that truly changes your nutrition habits through education, behavior modification, and changing your relationship with food. Our food coach will work with you to get your health into alignment by learning proper nutrition information, discovering the correct portions size for you, finding healthy and effective ways to deal with emotional stress eating, and successfully changing behavior to develop a healthy lifestyle for you. By focusing on meal timing, portions size, quality of food, and effective emotional eating strategies, we will develop a healthy, life-long way of eating to fit you.


The Foundation 4 Life Program is for you if…
  • You are looking for a personal nutrition coach and the added layer of accountability that 1:1 coaching brings
  • You want to trouble shoot the personal triggers that cause you to overeat or make unhealthy choices and work through them together

  • 10, 17 or 32 one-on-one meetings with our Food Coach who will support and guide you during your journey. We’ll explore strategies that you can use to combat emotional eating and the lure of food like ice cream, chips, beer or chocolate when you’re bored, sad or stressed.
  • a pace that works just for you. You’ll conquer a bad habit and change behavior one step at a time so that the program really takes hold. No getting overwhelmed, discouraged or feeling deprived.
  • individualized meal plan with proper portions and recipes, tailored specifically for your body and lifestyle. You’ll get simple cheat sheets to follow.
  • lessons on the importance of macros (carbs, fats and proteins)  and meal timing so you can make choices that optimize your digestion and metabolism whether you’re traveling, racing from one activity to another, ordering in or dining out
  • private Facebook group and access to a strong community of people who are also going through their own health journey
  • weekly emails offering tips, support and motivation
Foundation 4 Life Results

Over the course of 10, 17 or 32 meetings, you will learn what proper nutrition is for you. You will discover what portion sizes are proper, gain confidence in your decisions and lose weight and inches as a result. Our goal is for you to regain a sense of control in your life, feel happier, healthier, more confident and discover a newfound joy for life every day.

This isn’t a restrictive diet, but a lifelong, realistic approach to nutrition. You’ll learn how to combine all the foods you love while still making continual progress towards your goals.

Foundation 4 Life Schedule

You choose between a set of 10, 17 or 32 comprehensive, 1 on 1 meetings.  Ten meetings are usually completed over 3 months, 17 meetings over 6 months and 32 meetings over 12 months. Payments are made monthly. Since the program is tailored for you, you can begin whenever you choose. Enrollment is always open.

"I started to see progress that had eluded me for so long."

The Pursuit Fitness nutrition program is, by far, the easiest “diet” I’ve ever tried. By working with coach Anna I learned how to build a balanced and nutritious meal with REAL food in the proper portions. One of the biggest lessons I took away from the program is that it’s about progress not perfection! I can’t say enough good things about the nutrition plan and coach at PFP!

Before starting the Balanced Habits Life program, my biggest struggle with nutrition was that I knew a lot of the right things, but not how to relate them to each other in order to see results.  There is A LOT of information out there and doing your own research can be a bit overwhelming. Not to mention, there are lots of differing opinions about what is best and what is right.

I’ve tried lots of other programs before and they always start out strong but tend to peter out after a while.  Most of the time they just aren’t sustainable in the long term. I wanted something that would not only be effective but also realistic. Too many times I felt as though I was eating the right things and still made no progress toward my goals. This resulted in a constant cycle of me trying and failing and then getting mad at myself and not feeling comfortable in my own skin.

I was ready for a change because what I was attempting to do on my own simply wasn’t working. After some self-reflection I was able to admit that I’m not very good at following my own advice and I’m VERY good at talking myself out of things. I needed a program with guidelines to follow that felt doable and didn’t require me to eat something different than the rest of my family.

The Life program helped me to organize and expand on the information that I already knew and put into practice come concepts that I didn’t realize were essential for success. Anna provided me with encouragement and accountability that I didn’t have before and slowly I started to see the progress that had been eluding me for so long. It was important for me to make these changes because I want to be a healthy role model for my children and demonstrate an active lifestyle. I want to be able to run and play with my kids instead of watching from the sidelines and wishing things were different.  But most importantly I want to feel comfortable in my own skin.

During the course of my program I learned that it’s OK to have bad days.  It’s OK to fall off track now and again. What matters is that you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back on.  I’ve also learned that everyBODY is different. We all have our own struggles and weaknesses. My results and successes are not going to be the same as anyone else doing the program.  Pounds and inches weren’t falling off as quickly as I had hoped, but they WERE falling off and fairly consistently at that. I learned to celebrate the small things. One pound or one inch doesn’t sound like a whole lot but over time those small losses add up to a much bigger success.  I was able to lose 25 pounds of body fat and gain 6 pounds of muscle resulting in a total scale loss of 20 pounds. My clothes fit better, I feel stronger and more confident and ready to keep marching on. Though the program was only for 6 months and I have technically graduated, I know that this only the beginning for me.  Participating in the life program has made me feel empowered. I’m equipped with the knowledge that I need to be successful and I’m eager to see how far it can take me.

One of the most important things that I’ve learned is that life isn’t easy.  It isn’t perfect. There will always be “things” that pop up unexpectedly, get in the way, and take you off course.  You can have the best laid plans and find yourself not able to see them through exactly as you planned. But, as long as you are prepared you can still make the best decisions with what you have available and feel ok about the choices you made.  One day, one meal at a time.”     ~  Shannon Leonberger

The best thing from the program is looking at the results I have today.

“Before the program, my biggest frustration was all of the conflicting information out there about best nutrition & diet choices. Whether it’s high fat, low calorie, unprocessed, low fat, count calories, portion sizing, I had probably trashed my metabolism and confused it by trying multiple solutions.

These struggles affected me by always being the little dark cloud over my head, making me feel awful about myself when I violated any of the random rules of whatever I was trying to follow at the time.The program helped me understand portion sizes better and the importance of the right ratio of fat-protein-carb intake with each meal. I really liked the freedom of the grab & go planning of meals. It gave me the flexibility to find the protein, carb and fat that I WANTED to eat. I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. I wanted to make the change so that I could try to get my metabolism back to normal and learn better overall nutrition that wasn’t just a passing nutrition trend.

I also decided to join Pursuit Fitness for their strength training workouts during the program. I feel like that helped boost the muscle gain/ lean body mass changes.

The best thing from the program is looking at the results I have today. While the total number of pounds lost was less than I’d hoped, I saw significant changes in lean body mass, fat loss, muscle gain, inches loss. For only 28 days, I was pleasantly surprised with the results and look forward to continued progress. I really liked this program because it made me think about how much food I REALLY needed and helped me understand the importance of spacing my meals out correctly to allow my digestive system to work the way it’s designed to, to burn fat and to get my metabolism moving again!

I've developed a completely different relationship with food.

“Overall, my challenge was thinking about nutrition as a “diet.” It was something temporary and usually unsustainable. I went through years of yo-yo dieting and trying to out-exercise my food choices. I really wanted to understand nutrition and how to use food to fuel my body, instead of using food as an emotional reward or comfort. Beyond the pounds and inches lost, I’ve developed a completely different relationship with food. I’ve learned how and when to eat and gained a much clearer understanding of portions. Best of all, this isn’t a diet. I don’t feel deprived or missing out. I am empowered to have a cheat meal because I know it won’t derail my progress. Keep it simple and be committed to the program.

“I had been working out at Pursuit Fitness and Performance for about two years and had tone up and lost some weight.  Working out had now become a habit that I did three times a week at PFP.  But I wasn’t losing any more weight.  I thought I was eating right but I wasn’t.  I needed to lose some weight.   Plus, my daughter was getting married in July and I wanted to look and feel good in my mother of the bride dress.

Anna (the Food Coach) convinced me to give the program a try.  I started the program in mid May.  Thanks to Anna and all the other trainers at PFP, I lost 10.4 lbs in four weeks.  By the wedding, I lost a total of 16 lbs.  I felt so much better.  My clothes fit better and I had so much more energy. My only regret is that I should have started the program In January.  I could have lost a lot more weight by the wedding.

I have been taught and coached on how to eat healthy.  Keep it simple and be committed to the program. And it is okay to have a cheat meal every so often.  Just get back to the plan at the next meal. “My biggest struggle was yo-yo dieting. I would jump on the band wagon with whatever the latest fad was, oftentimes the diets were too restrictive for long term use. Any diet that offered a follow-up maintenance phase typically required the purchase of expensive bars or shakes. I would tire easily of bars and shakes. Most of the time I would lose weight, but I would eventually gain it back.

I felt hopeless. I struggled with some high cholesterol issues, and I did not want to take medications. On one diet I was taking the suggested dosage of diet supplements and I almost passed out at work. Upon having full blood work completed my doctor discovered that some of hormones were extremely high. 30 days of being off the diet supplements I was back to normal. Of course there was also the self-confidence issue of being overweight.

The LIFE program continued where the Foundations program left off, and helped me continue down the path of changing my eating habits. It gave me the power and control I needed over food choices. By continuing with good habits, I met my goal weight. Best of all I have maintained my goal weight. More importantly I feel better. I definitely conquered yo-yo dieting. But additionally I overcame making poor food choices, and indulging too often. Now when I make poor choices, I can feel the difference in my body. I no longer feel hopeless.
